Mr. H. G. Wells, writing to the “Times,” advocates that the moment is ripe for organisation with the object of encouraging republican movements in Central Europe. He suggests a series of republican societies in the chief towns of Britain to express their sympathy with their fellow republicans abroad, and to" form the
basis of more purposeful activities, which need not contact with loyalty to the throne, giving a clear expression to the great volume of republican feeling which has always existed in the British community. He declares it would he an agreeable t-hfxg to the Allies. • ! -
