MAGISTRATE 'S COURT.

Before Mr Jas. Smith, J.P.

Robert Hamiltgrf alais Sydney Bob, was charged did, on or about the 19th April, 1912, at Taihape, steal from the person of John Carmody the sum of £76 13s IGd. The case was remanded to the 2Srh April, bail being allowed in his own of £SO, and two securities of £IOO each. The accused was arrested at Rakefcapauma, yesterday, by Constables Manley and Morris, he having evaded the police for five years.

CORONER’S INQUEST.

The adjourned inquest on the body of J. V. McDonald was resumed yesterday afternoon, the verdict being that deceased committed suicide while temporarily insane. He exploded a charge of dynamite or other explosive in his mouth, completely blowing his head olf. which was discovered some listancofrom where the body was found.
