MAGISTRATE'S COURT
ACCUSED GETS SIX MONTHS
This morning, before Mr. M. M. Carpenter, J.P., Michael, or ; William Boyle was charged with wilfully damaging a railway seat to the extent of £3; also that he did use obscene language of a most disgusting character; also that he did obstruct Martin J. W. Dunn, a railway guard, in the execution of his duty. The accused elected to be dealt with summarily and pleaded guilty. He was convicted on the first charge and ordered to pay £3 damage and a fin e or " •£!• in default, one month's imprisonment.
On the charge of obscene language, he was sentenced to six months' imprisonment in Wellington Gaol. On the charge cf obstructing railway servants he was convicted and discharged. .■••... ; •
