' ABRAHAM AND WILLIAMS’ RE- | PORT. j The annual sheep fair was held at | Feilding on the 23rd hist., under the auspices of the Auctioneers’ Association. Our entry consisted of over | 6000 sheep, principally annual drafts | of ewes, Romneys predominating with | a sprinkling of wethers and lambs. There was a large and representative : attendance, competition throughout : was particularly keen and with the , exception of a few lines of inferior : stuff everything changed hands, high | prices ruling throughout. The follow--1 ing prices were obtained for various .lines submitted; —On account of Mr W. H. Gaisford, 200 Lincoln-Romney Ewes 46/-, and 406 ditto 44/6. On ac- ; count of Mr F. Barrow, 100 2th Romney Ewes 47/-. On account of Mr E. Short, ISO 4 and 6-th Romney Ewes 40/-. On account of Mr J. Barrow, 144 4 and 5-yr Romney Ewes 34/. On account of Messrs. E. Short and Sons, 58 2-th Ewes, 37/0. On account of Messrs McDonald Bros.. 135 2-th Ewes, 38/9, and 201 4 and 5-yr Ewes, 32/6. On account of Mr W. o. Short, 224 2-th Ewes 32/0, and 161 5-yr Ewes 32/-. On account of Mr (’. F. Johnston, 116 2-th Ewes 33/. On account of Mr F. Barrow, 143 4 and 5-yr Breeding Ewes 36/6. On account of Mr M. Leamy, 86 2-th Ewes 36/0. On account of Mr O.
