NEW ZEALANDERS HONOURED. His Excellency the Governor has received a cablegram ..from the Secretary of State for the Colonies announcing that His Majesty has been graciously pleased to confer the following New Year Honours: Colonel the Hon. James Allen, Minister of Defence, -has been created a Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath. Colonel Robert Logan, A.D.C., Administrator of Samoa, has been created a Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath. His Honor Mr. Justice Donniston, Judge of the Supreme Court, has been created a Knight Bachelor. Colonel the Hon. W. E. Collins, M. 8., M.R.C.S., member of the Legislative Council, has been created a Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St. George. His Majesty has conferred a brevet lieutenant-colonelcy upon Major C. R. Macdonald, of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, chief infantry instructor to the Dominion forces.
