COMING EVENTS. Every evening Town Hall and Three Stars Pictures in interests of all candidates. Daily.—Women's Working Club Shop. Sale of vegetables, cakes, sweets, etc. Railway Rosebud. Tuesday. Jan 30. —Dance Utiku Hall. Ohutu Rosebud. Tuesday. Jan. 30. —Assembly dance, railway social hail. Railway rosebud. Thursday. Feb. 1. —Social and dance, O'Connor's Hall, cards on stage, Rosebud May Denness. Saturday, Feb 3.—Paddy's Market at O'Connor's Hail, and winding up ceremony. All candidates. A dance will be held in the Utiku Hall to-morrow (Tuesday) night, when a big attendance of Ohutu and ivliku residents is expected. The railway women's committee were busy on Saturday in thier shop and disposed of a goodly amount of produce, cakes, etc. The positions of the "candidates on Saturday was as follows: Peggy May, Mataroa 1: Marianna Hek'enui, Native 2; Mary O'Brien. Railway 3; Jean Campbell, Ohutu. 4; Jean Gilchrist, Utiku 5. The Mataroa Rosebud further increased her lead with the close of the carnival in sight interest on all sides is becoming very keen and a record gathering is assured at Paddy's Market on Saturday afternoon and evening, when the final result will be announced. Voting wil Iclose at 11 p.m. on Saturday night, and as soon after as possible that ni:ht the result will be announced to the pi-blic at O'Connor's Hall. During the evening half-hourly results will be announced. Dancers are reminded of the Assembly dance in the Railway Social Hall to-morrow evening, Tuesday, when tb€§ usual best of music and floor will be available.
