DODGING MILITARY SERVICE
EXEMPLARY SENTENCES. Received 8.50. LONDON, Jan. IS. Stokers and Donaldson, betting agents, were sentenced to two years for attempting to bribe Martin, a clerk to the Whitehall Medical Board, to issue certificates enabling them to evade military service. Martin was sentenced to eighteen months' imprisonment.
