ADMIRALTY CONFIRMATION.

TWELVE VESSELS SUNK. LONDON, .Tan. 17. Admiralty information from Pernambuco confirms th e assumption that the following ship s have been sunk by a German raider:—British ships: Dramatist, Radnorshire, Nineih, Netherby Hall, Mount Temple, King George,. Voltaire and Georgic. French: Nantes and Anires. The vessels were sunk between December 12 and January 12. It is also announced that the Theodore was captured and a prize crew put aboard. The Yarrowdale was captured and sent away with four hundred men from the sunken vessels. There is no further news as to their whereabouts. NEW YORK, Jan. 17. As a result of the raider's ravages in the South Atlantic, marine insurance has advanced from 21 to 10 pen cent. There are persistent rumours that tho raider has been sunk or captured.
