Received 11.15. LONDON, Jan IS. There is a widespread belief that submarines are operating with the raider. The British official opinion is that there is one raider, fitted witn guns on deck and torpedo tubesi the guns being concealed by dummy bulwarks. Fast patrol boats searching report that the loss of life is unconfirmed. It is stated that there were several Americans aboard the Georgeinic and other ships. The number sunk and captured is still indefinite. News is received with tremendous interest in America. New York newspapers emphasise the fact that it will be difficult for the raiders to escape capture for long.
