EVERYBODY'S. i, A~ To-night there will be no pictures at on account of the lown Hall engaged by the Kolinsky , Concert Company. To-morrow (Saturday) will present a new "Metre " ieaturc entitled "Always in the Way,'' featuring the fascinating little screen actress Mary Miles Minter. It is a fine story,, and Mary Miles Minter at once makes herself popular with the audience. In addition there will be a splendid supporting programme. The J fourth episode of "The Broken Com'' serial will also be shown. THREE STARS. "Booties ' Baby '' by the London Film Company, shown for the first time iast night at the Ihrce Stars, is without doubt one of the best shown here for some time, and is a production Waich, carries you with it right from star., to finish, it is a military drama,, anu iho acting is perfect, particularly the |Hirfc taken by the ciiilu. This fine picture will be shown for the last time conight, and w e strongly advise pic;.ire patrons not to miss it. The subjects are very good. "^ SELINSKY-AMADIO. The brilliant Selinsky-Amadio combination of artists will appear in the Taihape Town Hall to-night. At the head of the company is Selinsky, an eminent Russian violinist, of whose ability much has been written, and who is described as one of the greatest artists of the day. (selinsky had the honour of playing before the Tsar of Russia, by Royal command, at the Imperial Opera Hosue early in January. Another artist of distinction is Jo-hn Amadio. flautist, who, by the way, is a native of Wellington, but since his departure from this country • several years ago lias earned recognition as on e of the finest exponents of flute playing yet heard. Selinsky and Amadio are accompanied by Miss Elsy Treweek and Miss Jessie Masson. The former is already well known here as a brilliant soprano, her artistic singing at the Royal Musical Union concerts being well remembered. Miss Jessie Masson, the pianist to the party, is credited with being one of Australia's greatest pianists, who is not only a most accomplished soloist, but is equally proficient as an accompanist. The box plan is at Bazaar. M. OSSIPOFF, THE RUSSIAN BARITONE. V' Since M. Eugene Ossipoff's first visit to New Zealand in lylO-11 the Russian basso cantanto has visited India, China, Japan, the Philippines, even going as far as Vladivostok, and in each country has scored distinct successes. This celebrated vocalist is again visiting NewZealand, and his coming will be Avelcomed by all music lovers who have already listened to his brilliant rendering of the arias from the operas of such famous composers as Verdi, Donj nizetti, Guonod, Bizet and Giinka. M. , Ossipoff is a dramatic baritone with a fine range and ringing robust quality, and iiis rendering or such numbers as the Toreador's Song from "Carmen'' and the prologue from "I l'agliacci' J ! are worth going a long way to hear. ■ During his present tour of the Dominion ■ M. Ossipoff will be supported by three j young and clever Australians, Miss : Bessie Rogers (elocutionist), Miss Ethi nee Clegg and Miss j ylvia Roberts (pianiste). Ossipoff will j give one recital in the Town Hall on j the evening of Monday next. The bos plan is at Shcrwin's.
