BEAN GUESSING COMPETITION.
The counting of the beans in the bottle which has been in the window of the Red Cross Shop for some time past, took place last night. Number of beans in bottle: 1286. Nearest guess (S. Gardnet), 1300. Next guess (H. Bertenshaw). 1265. The prize, the "Handy Worker," is therefore won by S. Gardiner.
