HEAVY INCOME TAX. MELBOURNE, Dec. 19. In tlic House of Representatives Mr Boynton moved a 25 per cent, increase to the present Income Tax. The Federal Treasurer submitted a new tax, which, he stated, would in many instances more likely mean an increase of 100 rather than 25 per cent. The now tax is to operate as from July last.
