ROSEBUD COMPETITION.
Those intending.' to nominate a Rosebud are reminjded that entries for the competition! should be forwarded to Box 10, R. 0.. Taihape, by 8 p.m/to-night, orVper telephone 52.
The object behincjjl the competition must not be lost sig£ht of, namely, toe provision of comforts for Taihape and district sofdiers at/ the Front. On behalf of the Woman’s Working Club, the organisers of tlhe Rosebud Competition appeal for/ liberal nominations and more liberal/support. We all realise that shearing/ is on, that Christmas is coming, and t\hat many other comparatively unimportant events make it appear inconvenient to help at the present time. r iTiese are trivial matters however to \those which our lads have had to surnqount. There is r.o Christmas season ■•'for them, no season of profit; there jis one season of continuous work arJd hardship, so it is incumbent upon/us at home to endure a little inconvenience if for a. few days only. Ren/ember our boys’ comforts, and send ylmir nomination along to night.
