COMMANDEERED WOOL.
BASIS OF VALUATION AGREED ON.
The Minister for Agriculture (the Hon W. D.B. Macdonald) stated yesterday afternoon that an agreement lias been arrived at with the woolbuyers a sto the basis on which the New Zealand wool clip requisitioned by the Imperial Government is to be valued. The Minister added that the details of organisation are being proceeded with, and that the whole scheme will be in working order in a few days A party of valuers left Wdington yesterday fon Napier to value the wool in that district, .so that it may be shipped with* out delay. Two points were still out* standing, continued Mr Macdonalafc.one relating to fellinongcry Avoci and tha other with regard to wool purchased prior to the clip being requisitioned by" the British Government. Though thesfl were not big questions, a great deal oS detail work was involved in-faem.
