OUTLOOK MORE HOPEFUL. WELLINGTON, Nov 27. Feeling hero is that the drivers’ dispute will be settlcdPto the men’s satisfaction. Further evidence of general support by trade unionists is furnished to-day in telegrams from 47 branches of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, all strongly urging the fairness of the demand for a £3 minimum wage, a number of branches declaring this too iPw under present circumstances. The Advisory Board of the transport workers’ unions met at the amalgamated societies ’ head office to-day, when a resolution of sympathy with the drivers was unanimously carried. Further action was deferred until the result of the conference with the employers on Tuesday is known.
