INFECTIOUS DISEASE HOSPITAL.

TO BE ERECTED ___ xAIHAPE. , Yesterday, Mr. Battle, Chairman of the Wanganui Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, Dr. Skerman, a member of the Board, and Mr. James, architect, visited Taihape, and in company with Mr. James Smith of Papakai Road, also a member of the Board, Dr. B’oyd and Mr. Swindells, Plealth Inspector, inspected the hospital grounds and conferred with reference to a site on ■which to- erect an infectious diseases hospital, and as to plans for its construction. It was pointed out that no money had been placed on the estimates for this work, therefore ways and means would have to be subject for discussion. The hospital was an urgent need, and it was believed the building would be proceeded with in the near future. The visitors lost no time; they arrived by the 12.30 train and proceeded at once with the object of their visit, which they completed and left by the 3.50 train for Wanganui.
