WOMEN’S WORKING CLUB.

MONTHLY MEETING. Tho usual monthly meeting of the Taihape Women’s Working Club Committee ivas held in the rooms on Thursday., sth October, at S p in. when the following members were present Eev. Stent (chair), Mesdames .Shute, Knox, McLennan, Bason, Shanley, McAuliffe, Timbs, Smith, Stiudwick and Miss McAuliffe (hon. sec.) The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Votes of condolence were passed to Mrs Stewart (senior and junior—mother and wife—respectively) in the death of Private Colin Stewart, and also Miami Mrs Lc Quesnc in the death of Private ,T. Le Quesne killed 'in action. It was decided to send 170 Christmas ™smokes” to the boys, through tho Wanganui Guild. Since April 413 parcels have been posted to the boys at the front.
