AMUSEMENTS.

THE REVUE VAUDEVILLE COM PANY.

Mr Haydyn Lamont, Touring Manager for the Victor Prince Company, passed through Taihape on Monday, bound South. Mr Lamont stated that the Company has been showing to bighouses since leaving Auckland, and they intend opening here on Monday next, the 9th inst. The Company is headed by Mr Victor Prince, a jolly, robust comedian, who was for srx years J. C. Williamson's comic opera comedian. This show, with its pretty girls and beautiful costumes, clean humour, and good singing, remains the biggest success ever known to tour the Dominion in vaudeville. Space will not permit a particularised account of the other members of the Company as there are fourteen aritsts on the programme. The Company showed two nights in Hamilton, and by the paper reports proved a big draw. Seats may be booked at Finch's Bazaar.

"EVERYBODY'S" PICTURES

That thrilling drama "After Dark," drew a largo audience at the Town Hall last night. Truly, no drama is so replete with sensational happenings following on each other with exciting rapidity and suddenness. All that was promised in the great railway sensation was given, and more, for the large audience was held spellbound. It was again remarked that the screening was particularly clear, and quite free from the annoying and eye-troublln 3 flicker, To-night," Wednesday, is the last time this sensational picture can be witnessed in Taihape. The comedy films were equally good. To-morrow, Thursday, one of Marguerite Clark's masterpieces "The Wildflower,'' will b e the chief attraction.

THREE STARS

At this theatre to-night will be screened a varied programme of eignt pictures, headed by a beautiful coloured drama entitled "Ashes of Happiness." It is an unusual story of "love wrecked upon the rocks of marital infidelity, but in the fullness of time, "ashes." The supporting pictures arc "Australian Gazette," "The Level (Lubin Drama), "No Tickee—No Washee" (Comedy), "Silent Accuser" (Drama), "War Series No. 5. The fall of Carency," "Waterfalls of Tivoli," (Scenic), "Artful Artists" (Comic).
