TURKEY’S EARLY COLLAPSE EXPECTED. NEW YORK, August 28. There were frenzied scenes in the wheat pit at Chicago. The "bears” made a sensational raid based on reports as to Roumanian entrance into the war, which means the speedy collapse of Turkey and the exportation of Russian wheat through the Dardanelles. Prices fell between seven and and eight cents. CHICAGO, August 28. Roumania’s entry into the war and the chances of a railway strike smash ing the wheat market genei’ally. There is a general rush to sell and prices dropped nine cents on opening rates.

WHEAT MARKET COLLAPSES. LONDON, August 29. Wheat parcels collapsed four shillings at the close on renewed talk o prospects of opening the Dardanelles, combined with increased shipments. Cargoes are quiet; little offering.
