PURCHASE CALIFORNIAN OIL INTERESTS.
LONDON, July 14.
The Manchester Guardian' states that a British shipping syndicate will carry out a proposal to purchase the oil interests of California, which are temporarily abandoned owing to financial conditions. The Cunard, White Union, Castle, Elder Dempster, Atlantic Transport, and Leyland lines ar e involved_ Most of their ships will be fitted for oil fuel when shipbuilding conditions are easier.
