OBITUARY.

The death occurred at the Military Hospital, Trentham Camp, yesterday, of Sergeant William Henry Shewan, only son of Mr and Mrs Shewan, of Mataroa at the ag e of 23. Deceased was very well known and highly respected in this district, and his death will come as a shock to his many friends. His parents will receive the sincere sympathy of the residents of the distract.

Deceased was admitted to the hospital suffering from measles and pneumonia supervened, causing death. The funeral will leave the Presbyterian Church on Friday afternoon, at two o 'clock, for the Taihape Cemetery, the church service being held at 1.45 p.m.
