Recently a local resident decided to cut down some large pine trees whlcn were standing on his property, and with a view to this end he interviewed a man who made application for the work. “Can you keep a saw?” said the prospective employer. “Yes,” was tne ready response, “but the trouble is I have nowhere to keep it.” That the Discharged Soldiers’ Information Department is doing good work is proved by the fact that to date 815 returned soldier s have been placed in employment. So far, 110 men have drawn sections of land.
