GERMAN MANAGER OF SANATO-

GEN ARRESTED

Max Muller, the London manager of the German fiirni of A. Wulfing and Co., Chenies Street, W.C., was arrested on Jun e Ist on a Home Office order, and taken to Alexandra Place for internment.

I Muller, whose home is at Brondes- , buy is a German 388 years old and his internment will give much satisfaction ;in British business circles.

Wulfing and Co. was a German firm, ; which also traded as Sanatogen Comi pany, the sole proprietor of which was Johann A. von Wulfing, now resident in Berlin. For several years the firm made enormous profits from Sanatogen and other poprietary articles, and when war broke out von Wulfing placed practically the whole of his fortune at the

disposal of the German Government to help in the defeat of Great Britain. I After the outbreak of war Wulfing ,and Co. continued to trade in this country, and Max Muller, who is not !naturalised, retained his position as j London manager.

On May 16 an order was published in the London Gazette winding up the firm of Wulfing and Co.

British companies are now manufacturing the articles which brought such a great fortune to the German firm of Wulfing.
