OBITUARY.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Stub bings, wife of Mr. Frank of Taparu took place yesterday afternoon, leaving St. Mrgaret's Church at two o'clock for Taihape Cemetery. Tho J" ceased lady had lived in the dis'ric for 33 years, having the ;arge Cainily of eleven. Three of the boys have enlisted —Reuben, Jack, and Ben—anJ are now at the front. Cue daughter married Mr. Stuart Spooler, of Raketapauma, and another, Maggie, married Mr. T. McDonell, of Rang'.v.ahia. The deceased was very highly respected throughout the whole district, and the loss the family have sustaine i will be severely felt. She was only 4S years of age at the time of her decease. Mrs. Stubbing was a daughter of Mr. Ashford, who came out with the Rev. Dr. Mansell to the Mission Statioi at Waikato Heads as shepherds.
