WELLINGTON DIOCESAN SYNOD S RESOLUTION. J2IG HT O ! CLOCK CLOSING URGEI), WELLINGTON. July 10. After discussion lusting over several sittings, the Wellington Diocesan Synod to-day adopted,the following resolutions; (1) That in the opinion of this Synod it would be m the interests of the country to close the bars or hotels at 8 p.m., also to t'orind the practice of “shouting” during the period of the war; (2) that a copy of this resolution he sent to the Government. urging ip to bring in legislation to this effect or to authorise a referendum on the subject.
