BRITAIN'S FINE ARTILLERY.
FULL USE OF GUNS AND SHELLS MARKED EFFECT ON GERMANS, Received 8-b p.m., July 2. LONDON, July 1. The "Morning Post's" correspondent at the headquarters, says: The front has reached a vigour hitherto British artillery on an entire SO mile unapproached. Undoubtedly we have begun to get the guns and ammunition for which we have been waiting, and are using them to their fullest extent. Expert artillerists believe that we not only equal but have the pull over the Germans in the matter of artillery. The correspondent visited the section where the enemy had the worst time ever experienced since British sliells burst overhead. The German reply was singularly feeble, and gave the impression that the enemy was in a sullen mood, and not liking our new guns and shells. The Germans have mostly hauled down their kite balloons. The correspondent counted fourteen British balloons on a short front, and not a single German one.
