COLONEL REPINGTON'S OPINION.
AUSTRIANS MOT ROUTED.
Received 10.55 p.m. June 30. LONDON, June 30
Col. Repington, who is visiting the Italian front, says the counter-offen-sive was well launched. The enemy are retreating on all the Trentino front. An Italian detachment is already across the Posina and is threatening the enemy in several directions. "I do not regard the as a routed army. They have lost a few prisoners taken, hut they have a series of strong positions upon which to fall back. They are concentrating on the front as they ivtire. They are entitled to respect, having formidable artillery and a great number of machine guns. They are sure to give a great dael of trouble, but Will probably eventually fall back to positions to the eastward, whence the offensive started. The Italian army are m strong numbers, fine health, and excellent spirits. The country is entthusdaistic a& tseeung the detested Austnans nearly driven out of Italy.'
