AT COLLINSON «D GIFFORD'S The second great half-yearly clearing sale at Coilin,scn and Giffords, Taihape drapery establishmet„~ Ml tocommence on Saturday This is the time of midwiner saltes all over New Zealand, and it must be admitted that those held by this Taihape firm equals, if not surpasses, any others for its genuineness of character, and it is becoming equally noted for its general and honest application of the price-cutting knife. There are to arrive a very much larger stock of the highest class goods than the firm, ha s yet been able to get, a more,exclusive and larger selection, and room has to be found for them. Messrs Collinson and Giffcrd have set themselves to establish a drapery and millinery that will give all the advantages of a larger city house, and no effort is to be spared in achieving what they have determined upon. Everything at present in stock is to be cleared, and one visit during the sale will convince the most sceptical that the intention is to sell everything. Prices have reached a level at which profit, a s ordinarily understood, is impossible, but regardless of profit a clearance must be effected. will shortly be arriving and room is of the first imijortariee (in displaying what is to come. Lady readersare strongly advised to watch the large half page advertisement on page 6, for the next fortnight.
