PLUNKET SOCIETY.

A meeting of the above Society was held in the Nurse's room. Town Hall, on Friday, 9th inst. Present: Mesdames James (chair). Loughan, Timbs, Ongley, Collinson, Joblin, Deacon, MeCormick, Stent, Sliute, and the Secretary.

Nurse Jones reported that from 19th of May till the end of the month slie paid 4(5 visits to homes and received 15 visitors at the office. There are 7 new cases and the general health of the babies is good. It was decided to start collecting the annual subscriptions, which were due on Ist April, during this month, The following subscriptions are acknowledged: Mesdames Oldham, Forde, Jensen and Arrowsmith, and Dr McDirimid. Donations to the wives and widows of the soldiers and sailors fund were received from Mesdames McCormiek, Little,, Sexton, Mahony, Mahony, jnr., and Champion. Messrs Haggie and MeCraeken. A parcel containing two complete bundles of baby clothes was received from Ruamii.
