RED CROSS CONCERT.

AT MOAWHANGO.

The concert which was held at Moawhang.o on Wednesday evening in aid of the Red Cress funds proved very successful, and a good sum was realised. The programme was arranged by Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Peyton and the lieutenants Messrs de Lautour and Powell. Items were rendered by Messrs McCombie, Jnr., J. P. Aldridge, Mrs. Durand, Messrs F. McSweeney, Stephens, De Lautour, Powell, Midgley, Mrs. Peyton and Mr. Peyton. The accompaniments were played by Mrs. Peyton and each item Avas received with well-merited applause and encores were demanded on each occasion. The dance which followed was a great success. The arrangements were carried out by Messrs McCombie, Shepherd, and Cameron. The dance music wa s played by Mr. Midgley and Miss Whenuaroa.

The entertainment committee were afterwards entertained at supper by Mr. McCombie, and his hospitality was highly appreciated. ,
