RED CROSS COMMITTEE.
A meeting of the committee of the Taihape Branch of the Red Cross Society was held on Wednesday afternoon Mrs. Arrowsmith, vice-president, presiding over a good attendance. A committee consisting of Mesdames Arrowsmith, Bray, Ongley, Cornford, Shute, Anderson, Knox, Shanley, McAuliffe, Bason, Aplin and Smith was appointed to run the booth at the forthcoming Moawhango Dog Trials. It was decided that the sub-com-mittee's total collection should be published but the individual amounts will not be shown. Mrs. Kennedy, of Mataroa, wrote advising that a sub-branch of the Society had been formed at Mataroa, Mrs. Kennedy being secretary and treasurer ,and the committee consisting of Mesdames McGregor, Troy, May. Murphy, Banon, Shewan and Oliver and Misses Macdonald, Shewan and Powle. Mrs. Overton, of Pukeokahu, advised that a meeting be held this week to form a branch in that district. It was also advised that a meeting had been held and a branch formed at Ohutu.
