TAIHAPE GOLF CLUB.
! ANNUAL MEETING. i The annual meeting of the Taihape I Golf Club was held last evening, there ! being a large attendance. Mr. G. Bray (President of the Club) occupied the chair. The annual report congratulated the members on the past season's working, -which placed the Club in a sound financial position. The increased membership had given, the game a fresh lease of life and the coming year was full of promise. The past season was the most successful in the history of the Club. A great deal of work had to be done on the links this, year and members had shown the greatest enthusiasm and done the work themselves.
The repont and balance-sheet were adopted on the motion of Mn Beban. Th followin g officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patron, Mr. B. W. Smith, M.P.; President, Mr. P. E. jWakeman; Vice-Presidents, Messrs. D. Neagle and D. J. MeLennan; Captain, Mr. J. A. Champion; Hon. Seeretary and Treasurer, Mr. A. D. IST. Train; Committee, Messrs. Hesketh, Garratt, Ryan, Beban, and Bray; Hon. Auditor, Mr. C. L. Dymock. On the motion of Mr. Wakeman, seconded by Mn. Bray, it was resolved that all members on active service be made honorary members. A vote of thanks was accorded to the retiring officers, and it was resolved to forward a letter to Mr. E. B. l Jennings in appreciation of his past I services. It was decided to open the season on ! May 4th. i
