Mr. A. E. Fannin. " , Taihape. supplies the following:--The rainfall' for the month of March was 4,83 inches. There were 10 days with rain and tlie maximum fall was 1.64 inches, en the 14th. The average fall for the corresponding month of the previews 10 years is S-OS inches. The mean maximum temperature irf the shade for the month was 69.5 dcg. F.; the mean minimum temperature in the shade was 53.3 degrees F., on the 4th; the extreme maximum temperatuT3 in the shade was 70. S degrees F., on 'ttfc 4th. W The extreme minimum temperatura in the shade was 43 degrees F. on the 23rd. The mean terrestial radiation (grass) temperature was 49.4 degrees F., the minimum being 30 degrees on the 23rd. The mean earth temperature at 2 feet was 62 degrees F.. ranging from G 4.1 degrees F. 'on the 6th to 60 degrees F. on the 31st.
