LONDON WOOL SALES. Messrs Dalgety and Company Ltd. report having received the following cablegram from their London Office .under date of the 17th instant:! — The sales closed firm. As compared with closing rates of last sale super .scoured Merino is slightly easier, and good rscoured par to 5 per cent lower, whilst short and faulty declined 5 per Cent,Jo 7i per cent. In greasy Merinos, super qualities were from par to 5 Ter “cent lower; 'average to good demined 7J per cent to 10 per cent and faulty and wasty were fully 10 per ;,cqnt lower. Merino lambs were from par to 5 per cent lower. Fine greasy 'crossbreds were from par to 5 per cent lower ,and medium and coarse 10 ;per cent.. Scoured crossbreds-sold at (corn par to 5 per cent decline. Slipes were 5 per cent to 77> per cent lower, except lambs which were at a -par.- jrrr7:7,,000 bales were sold to the -Home trade, 8,000 bales to the Continent. American purchases were nil. 14)000 bales were carried forward.
