NAPIER SITTINGS. NAPIER, March 7. The Supreme Court opened to-day. Mr. Justice Edwards said he regretted the increase in criminal cases. Frederick Thomas Ulph pleaded not guilty of carnal knowledge and indecent assault on a Maori girl aged 11 years. When in the witness box the girl refused to say one word. Without retiring the jury returned a verdict of not guilty. i r - * <u
