ITALY'S SHARE.

FRENCH PREMIER VISITS ROME.

IMPORTANT CONFERENCE HELD

LONDON, Feb. 12.'*

M. Briand (Premier of France) conferred with Count Sonnino (Premier of Italy).

Italy adheres to the proposition which England accepted, namely, the creation of two supreme military and diplomatic councils.

Interviewed after the discussion with Count Sonnino, M. Briand said the visit to Rome had removed many prejudices concerning Italy's attitude. Italy's policy was not only most sincere, but clear-sighted. A banquet was held at the French Embassy in the evening. Political societies organised a great public demonstration in honour of the Entente. Most cordial toasts were exchanged.
