Casualty list No. 266, issued by the Defence Department yesterday and forwarded by the Press Association last night .contained- the following names:—■ Bcrthwick Halibiirton, Wellington Battalion, December 11, 1915. —Mrs. I. Haliburton, Dunoon, Argyllshire (mother). Edwin Hutton Lane, Canterbury Battalion, December 18. —Mrs. L. H. Lane, Gloucester Street, Christchurch. REPORTED WOUNDED. William Alexander Ferguson, Canterbury Battalion, gunshot lumbar region, now convalescent, no date given.—R. H. Ferguson, Mi ler's Flat, Otago (father). SIX MORE DEATHS.
Casualty list No. 267 was issued by the Defence Department this afternoon, '.and extracts were forwarded by the Press Association. Six deaths are reported—two in action, three from disease, and one from accidental causes: —■ KILLED IN ACTION. Private A. J. James, Otago Battalion. December 13. Trooper C- P. Dorman, Canterbury Mounted Rifles, December 18. DIED OF DISEASE. Gunner J. G. Collie, Field ArtilleryDied of paratyphoid, at New Zealand Hospital, Alexandria, January 14.
Private J. Hardy, Canterbury Battalion —Died of pneumonia, at Malta, January 13. Private H. Braithwaite, Otago Battalion —Died at Dunedin Hospital,
January 15. ACCIDENTAL DEATH. J. F. Randall, Otago Battalion.—Died of fractured skull, at 2nd Australian General Hospital, Cairo, January 14. Result of tram accident. SLIGHTLY WOUNDED. Rifleman D. M. Thomson, iN.Z. Rifla Brigade —Slightly wounded, December 25; still doing duty.
