TAIHAPE STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and 'Williams, Ltd. report on their Taihape Sale held on the sth inst: — We had a good yarding of sheep, which odd well up to vendors reserves. Cattle did not come in up to advertised numbers. We quote: 4 ■and 6 tooth ewes with 9 per cent, of lambs, 32/-; mixed 2 tooths 21/-; 2 tccihs wethers 20/- 21/6 to 23/-; 2 tooth ewes (sma'l) 19/10; mixed 2 tooths, small, 13/6; fat wethers 24/1 to 24/6; rams 17/-. Cattle: 21 year steers £7 15/- to £8 10/-; 15 month heifers £3 7/6 to £4 12/-; 18 month steers £4 17/-; fat 21 year steers £9 19/-; weaners £2 to £2 6/-. The next Taihape sale will be held on the 19th January.

DALGETY AND CO., LTD

Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., Palmerston North, report holding their first fortnightly sale for 1916 on the sth of January, when a small yarding of sheep and a fair yarding of cattle were offered and sold at prices highly satisfactory to the vendors. We can quote as follows: —Fat ewes 'at 21/1 to 22/8; 4 tooth wethers at 25/5; small weaners to 30/-; yearling heifers to £2 11/-; 15/18 month heifers £3 to £3 1/6; empty heifers to £3 2/6; small Jersey 2 year old steers at £5 5/-; 3 year steers at £lO 11/-; fat cows at £7 6/-.
