The caucus finaly endorsed the Hon. Ti. R. Hall's State Bread Monopoly Bill. The scheme is ot cost approximately £600,000. The Government is resuming the whole of the existing bakeries required, from whence the present cart delivery will be continued. Later on a central bakery, equipped with the most, modern machinery, and a fleet of motors, will replace the 40 scattered bakeries and horse carts. The Operative Bakers' Union passed against the scheme, which will meana resolution emphatically protesting the dismissal of hundreds of workers. PROTEST BY EMPLOYEES. SYDNEY, December 0. A general meeting of employers enterde a strong protest against the State bread monopoly, asking that before the scheme is adopted the Government appoint Royal Commission to quire into the commercial and cial aspects. m
