PARCELS FOR SOLDIERS.

Instructions regarding the addressing of gifts intended for sick and wounded New Zealand soldiers are contained in a cablegram from Lieu-tenant-Colonel R, H. Rhodes to the Minister for Defence. "Send all gifts and money for New Zealand sick and wounded to the care of the officer commanding base depot, Cairo," says the message. "He is chairman of the Central Committee which attends to the distribution of comforts to our sick and wounded." The Defence authorities, in issuing this cablegram for general information, state that money intended for soldiers should be sent to the address given by Colonel Rhodes, through the Under-Secretary for Internal Affairs, Wellington. Gifts should be packed securely and sent to Captain Bilton, Defence Stores, K Shed, Wellington, whence they will be forwarded on transports as opportunity offers.
