WELLINGTON, This Day

A hearty welcome was given 320 -sick and wounded soldiers, returned to New Zealand by the Willoohra and Monowai. They arrived early and the Auckland, Napier and Taranaxi rn; n went on special carriages attacied to express trains for these districts. A reception was given to pthers in the Town Hall, where speeches were by the Governor, the Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward, Hon. Jas. Allen, • and the Mayor.
