Mr Ellis Robinson hag been appointed assistant recruiting officer in TaiIhape.
Lieut. Thomson, group commander, will arrive in Tiahape from Palmerston North to-night. ... Lieut. Dixon, area officer of Wanganui visited Taihape last evening and inspected the territorials and cadets, and expressed his satisfaction with their vcik.
Advice was received from the authorities this morning by Staff-Sergt-Major Tuckey to the effect that 23 recruits for t(he 3rd battalion of the Tlrentham Regiment are wanted, and should leave by to-morrow morning's train.
