David Johnston was found dead on August Kith beneath a window of his house in Lurgan, County Armagh, in which for two days he had withstood a siege of the constabulary. Johnston precipitated the trouble on Saturday by firing at registry enumerators who went, to his house to deliver the official forms in connection with the national registration now under way.
