FOR WOUNDED SOLDIERS FUND.
After the laying of the foundationstone at the Taihapc Freezing Works yesterday afternon, great enthusiasm centred around Mr. J. G. Oldham, of the New Zealand Loaan and Mercantile Agency, Co., Ltd., who kindly under-
took the sale of a Union Jack in aid of the Wounded Soldiers' Fund, which had been presented for the purpose by Mr. D. Neagle. The first bid was £IOO from Mr. Joe Whenuaroa, seconded by Mr. R. W.
