EMPIRE TRADE { i A MEETING AT DA/NNEVIRKB. DAN|NEVIRKE, This Day. A meeting held here last night tor promote British trade protection was addressed by h l 'e Hon. W. D. S. MacG. Hunter, J. Hescott, J. G. Harkness and C. Lewis, A resoiution was passed -pledging the encouragement of Dominion and Empire nianufac-' tured goods or goods made by our Allies, and urging taxation to stop importations from enemy countries.

The .New Zealand War Contingent Association, London, has cabled the following names who are in the Duchess of Connaught’s Hospital at Taplow,in addition to those appearing in the Government lists. All are doing well: 1 T. Curran, A. Dasilen, A. Hill, T. Hudson, J. Mehaffy, J. Ralston.
