Two tradesmen are requiring private board and lodging immediately.

In recognition of their services, at the recent fire, the Taihape Fire Brigade have just received a cheque for £5 5/ from Messrs McLaughlan Bros.

At the Three Stars last night the first screening of the new current programme took place, and many good pictures of dramatic and topical interest wer e shown. An excellent Keystone comedy, entitled “Dough and Dynamite” is th,e leading picture, and features Charlie Chaplin and Mable Normand. Other supporting pictures are gopd.

The Government Meteorologist wired the following weather forecast to-day: South-easterly moderate to stion^j winds, hacking by cast to north. Weather probably cold and changeable. The night will probably bo very cold, with frosts inland. Barometer little movement but falling after about -t hours.

The new programme' at this theatre j headed by the fine topical drama, ‘Ou His Majesty’s Service,’- is one of the best that has been screened for some j time. The leading picture deals very , forcibly with the German spy system iu England and shews the British Go-1 cret Service agents at work.
