In recognition of their services, at the recent fire, the Taihape Fire Brigade have just received a cheque for £5 5/ from Messrs McLaughlan Bros.

At the Three Stars last night the first screening of the new current programme took place, and many good pictures of dramatic and topical interest wer e shown. An excellent Keystone comedy, entitled “Dough and Dynamite” is th,e leading picture, and features Charlie Chaplin and Mable Normand. Other supporting pictures are gopd.
