A TAIHAPE NURSE AT THE FRONT.
WELCOME LETTER FROM NURSE SIDDELLS. TO A LOCAL RESIDENT. The following letter from Nurse Sbldels, lute of Tailmpo, has been received by Mrs. Niven: — Alexandria, Egypt. Dear Mrs. Niven. — I have seen your hoy. Little did I think when I said good-bye to you and you asked me to look out. for him that I should see him. He loks well. Of course, ho is a bit tired of bed, but that is always the hard part for active men. I am not working in the same hospital. lam three or four miles aw from where he is. I found out he was there by seeing a list of names of New Zealand wounded in the Record Office, and when I saw “Niven” I though T would go and investigate. He tc Id mo that his foot was getting on very well.
I am going up to see him again. Otic of mv friends, who is stationed here at present, a. New Zealander belonging to the Mounted Rifles, is going to collect some New - Zealand papers from the boys and take to him. I will write to you again. I am sorry that I have not much time just now. I want to catch this mail. Do not worry. Next time we go my
