HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. ACTIVITY IN THE WEST. TURKO-BULGAR INCIDENT. LONDON, July IS. On the right hank of the Aisne severe bombardment and mine fighting continues. Twenty shells were fired on Rheims, which killed a civilian and wounded another. In the Argonne there was a comparatively quiet day. On the heights of the Meuse the Germans launched an attack which was repulsed. A continuous bombardment is taking place in the forest of Apremont. Petrograd reports that the enemy continues the offensive. ATHENS, July IS. An unofficial message states that fighting is proceeding on Gallipoli without definite results. In Sofia it is reported that the Turks have stopped railway communication between Bulgaria and Turkey. The strike by 200,000 Welsh miners continues.
