Rising 3-year steers to £7 4/ HIDE AND SKIN REPORT On Thursday, Ist July, we hold the second of our series of Special Crutchlug sales, together with our usual monthly Skin and Hid e sale, when we offered a large catalogue of all descriptions. A large and representative attendance of buyers were present,and ilthough prices for crutchings showed a decline in sympathy with other markets of from say id to Id per on the extreme rates ruling at the earlier sales, yet competition was extremely animated. Sheepskins sold under very keen competition in advance of last male’s rates, while hides also advanced in price. Tallow was very dull of •ale, and several lots failed to find a purchaser.
