THE GYMNASIUM.
(To the Editor.) >..; Sir, —Allow me a short space in your valuable paper to intimate to the young-' men of this town the c-xistence of a men's gymnasium club. The club now consists of IS or 20 members, and I feel sure that if it was made more widely known, the membership would begreatly increased. The club meets every Tuesday and Friday at 8 p.m., in. the Gymnasium Hall, Huia Street, and would gladly welcome anyone who would like to join. The membershipfee is much less here than in other clubs, being only 10/6 per quarter, while, we enjoy the privilege of better instruction than most places. We are proud to have one of the best instructors and ablest gymnasts in Australasia, who has placed hfs services and, devoted his time for our benefit, which, needless to say, we greatly appreciate. The young men of this town should grasp this opportunity now afforded them. It is a pleasant and profitabler employment for spare evenings, and; will ensure strength and good health, whieh we are all pleased to have. Any* one not sure of the objects of the clubis invited to attend and see the performances and exercises Ave now do.—I am( etc., . INTERESTED.
